SUBJECT: NFSI PTSO Newsletter 11/21/24 - Give to the Max Day is TODAY!

Welcome back
NFSI PTSO K-12 Pathway

Weekly Newsletter - November 21, 2024

A Message from NFSI PTSO Presidents

Give to the Max is today! Give to the Max is a program put on by GiveMN that supports nonprofits in MN. The PTSO receives donations through Give to the Max every year from our parents, guardians and extended family to support the teacher classroom support, the LA program and so much more with these funds. Some parents like to donate through Give to the Max because some employers will match your donation!

Donation not in the budget right now? We still need your help!

Here's how you can help:

  1. Share our social media posts (Facebook and Instagram)
  2. Ask family and friends to help support the program! Send them the donation link below.
  3. Reach out to your employer about any donations or employee match benefits available to you.

Check it out today and donate to support the NFSI K-12 pathway.

Fundraising News!
Fiesta Volunteer Committee

Join us tonight to help shape Fiesta 2025 and make it happen! Fiesta volunteer committee is meeting at Jerry’s Foods at 6:00, upstairs to discuss the list of Fiesta enhancements we came up with last month.

We know it’s early but the more volunteers we have in place now, the easier it will be to raise the most funds at Fiesta.

Community Night Fundraiser on December 4

Our next Community Dinner Fundraising Night is Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Panda Express in Woodbury!  Panda Express will donate 20% of sales for the entire day to NFSI PTSO.  For more information, click here.

Winter Clothes for the LAs

One way we try to help our LAs every winter is by providing them new or gently used winter weather clothing and accessories so they do not have to purchase them while they are in Minnesota.  As you know, we experience a lot of weather extremes here, and our LAs typically come from countries with more moderate weather.

Here's what we still need for donations

  • Umbrella
  • Women’s snow boots - 3 pairs
    • Size 6.5 or 7
    • Size 8.5 or 9
    • Size 8.5 or 9

If you have any of these items available, please reach out to lacoordinators@nfsiptso.org to coordinate drop off.  You can also leave them in the Office at NFSI and we will get them to the LAs!

LA Ride Requests

There will be more rides needed this year. Keep an eye out for the ride requests sent by the LA Ride Coordinator this year and if everyone signs up for a few, we can help the LAs have a wonderful experience while they are here this year. Be sure to bookmark the ride sign-up link and keep checking it!
