Welcome back
NFSI PTSO K-12 Pathway

Weekly Newsletter - October 24, 2024

A Message from NFSI PTSO Presidents

We hope you had a good MEA break and are ready to help us raise some funds. We are at 3% of our goal of $25,000.

This year we are trying something different and doing the fundraiser as a community without individual pages to keep more of your donation in the community. We want to work together as one community to provide the funding that helps make our program great.

Don’t forget! Principal Saucedo-Falagan has planned an unforgettable all school meeting in November where they will learn more about two indigenous cultures in honor of National Native American Heritage Month. To make this happen, we need to hit our fundraising goal.

The funding we raise every fall helps pay for all of the things the PTSO makes possible, including classroom support. Every teacher in the NFSI K-12 pathway gets funding from the PTSO so they don’t have to use their own money to buy things for the classroom. If we don’t hit our fundraising goal this year, we will not be able to support our teachers.

The PTSO also fully funds the LA program. If we don’t hit our fundraising goal this year, we won’t be able to provide funding for all 8 LAs next year, leaving our classrooms without the cultural enrichment and support the LAs provide. Each LA costs $7,500 to find & hire for the year with the majority of that going to the agency to help find Language Ambassadors and to help complete all of the necessary paperwork to make this happen.

Don’t forget, this link needs to be shared with family and friends to ask for a donation! Every fall, grandparents, aunts and uncles and other loved ones also show their support for our kids’ education by financially helping support our program. Simply send them the link with a simple message asking for their support (again) this year.
