A Message from NFSI PTSO Presidents

The spirit wear store is now open. In order to get shirts in time for the all school photo in early October, we have to close the store on September 15th so order today!!

Save the Date! The first of five PTSO community meetings is on September 24th at 630pm in the NFSI Media Center. Join us to learn more about the PTSO and upcoming events this year and ways to get involved. Childcare will be provided.

Newsletter Archives and Translation Available!

This year, we will be posting copies of our newsletter each week on our website. This will allow you to access past issues if you missed one. It will also allow everyone who would like to access them in another language to easily translate the newsletter. Check out www.nfsiptso.org/newsletters for more information

Meet the LAs

We are so excited to welcome this year's LAs to NFSI. In the coming weeks, we'll be introducing them one by one so you can get to know each of them a little better.

Please welcome (from left to right): Carmen (WMS), Ane (WHS), Kelly (4th & 5th), Andrea (1st & 2nd), Miguel (3rd), and Asun (Kinder).

The LAs have been in the schools meeting the students and getting familiar with how things work in America. If you see one of them, please say hello and introduce yourself.

If you're interested in getting to know an LA and inviting them to any activities with your family, or a dinner, consider giving a ride (link below) becoming a Tio/Tia. You can also reach out to our LA coordinators for more ideas about how to help!

LA Ride Requests

There will be more rides needed this year. Keep an eye out for the ride requests sent by the LA Ride Coordinator this year and if everyone signs up for a few, we can help the LAs have a wonderful experience while they are here this year. Be sure to bookmark the ride sign-up link and keep checking it!

If you can’t provide rides, consider donating here and we will use the funds to order Lyft/Uber rides

Help Needed!

Our WHS LA, Ane, does not have a bus available to for her to get to work at WHS every day this fall. We are looking for volunteers to commit to one or more recurring rides to or from school this year. If you are able to help drive her from Cottage Grove to WHS before or after school, please reach out to our LA coordinators at lacoordinators@nfsiptso.org.
