Welcome back!  We hope everyone is adjusting to the new year and back to school!

Reminder that tomorrow - Friday, January 10th is the next family movie night!  Elemental will be shown in Spanish with English subtitles. This event is free and open to NFSI K-5 students. Grab a chair or blanket - doors open at 6:30 and the movie starts at 7:00. Cash concessions will be available. Thank you to our movie night sponsor, Machete Cocina Mexicana! Machete is owned by an NFSI family and located in Woodbury.

We're also in our biggest fundraising season and preparing for Fiesta in May.  More information is below about how you can help out.  We have small simple ways, low commitment options, self directed/on your own time opportunities, and even Captain/Leadership opportunities!  Whatever time and skills you are willing to share with us, we have a need.

And finally, just before break, we announced our STEAM fair on social media.  It will be January 24th and its free to attend and exhibit, Be sure to check out the information below and join us!  We hope to make this an annual event!  Free boards to display the project will also be available at movie night or at the school in the front lobby.

Language Ambassador News
Thank You from the LAs

Thank you to everyone for the generosity in donations to purchase holiday gifts for the LAs.  The gifts were given to the LAs over the holiday break and they were so thankful.  Many of the LAs sent Thank You notes for the community.  We've included one below.  You can read all of their notes here.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome and for all the dedication, beautiful experiences, and wonderful moments you’ve given us. I could never have imagined that this experience would touch my heart so deeply. Your energy and kindness, your trust and hospitality, are what allow us to shine as if we were in our own home.

I am so happy to be here, and a big part of that is because of you. My family in Spain is just as grateful as I am, if not more, for how well you take care of me. They send you a kiss, a hug, and warm Christmas wishes.

As for me, I just want to say that I wish you health and lots of love in this beautiful life we’re sharing this year. You have already found a place in my heart, and there you will stay forever.

Merry Christmas, a prosperous New Year, and all the happiness in the world.

Sincerely, Miquel
