Welcome back

Weekly Newsletter - November 7, 2024

A Message from NFSI PTSO Presidents

Thank you to everyone who donated to the Read-A-Thon this year! It was great to work together as a team to raise funds for all of the things that the PTSO supports. This includes funds for teachers to buy things they need for their classrooms, the PTSO fully funds the LA program through the district and books in Spanish for the library at all 3 schools, to name a few.

We know time is flying this fall and it’s easy to miss communications. We have good news, it’s not too late to donate to the PTSO. Give to the Max day on 11/21 is a day. Give to the Max is put on by GiveMN.org to facilitate donations to nonprofits around Minnesota. This organization gives us a platform to receive donations from generous supporters like you, friends and families, but also allows for company matches. A lot of our employers will match our donation to the PTSO through GiveMN. If you can, please check out www.givemn.org/organizations/nfsi-ptso.org and donate between now and November 21st.

Thank you to everyone that visited Panera on 11/5. By the time I made it to the store, they were out of bread, so that seems like a successful fundraiser! Stay tuned for additional community dinner nights this year!

Finally, thank you to Principal Saucedo-Falagan for attending the last community meeting. She has made time to attend both of the meetings so far this year to help parents learn more about language acquisition and how the latest research is shaping education. It has been truly fascinating to learn more and we are excited to continue this series of learning. Thank you!
